Burger King, which was boycotted for supporting Israel, has opened a new branch in a shopping mall in Afyonkarahisar. Following Rize and Izmir, the opening of the chain restaurant, which was again conducted with prayers from the district and youth branch heads of the AK Party, has sparked discussions.
A similar incident that caused a crisis in Rize and Izmir also occurred in Afyonkarahisar. Last Friday, a new branch of the famous fast food chain Burger King opened at İyaş AVM in the Dinar district.
AK PARTY MEMBERS ATTENDED THE OPENING
The opening was attended by AK Party Dinar District Chairman Av. İbrahim Özgül, AK Party District Council Member Ahmet Acar, AK Party District Youth Branch President, and Women’s Branch President.
IT WAS AT THE CENTER OF PROTESTS
The participation of AK Party members in the opening of Burger King, which was protested by many for allegedly supporting Israel, which has killed tens of thousands of civilians in Gaza, ignited a new controversy, and the recorded images also made a significant impact.
"WE HAVE OPENED OUR HANDS, WE ARE BEGGING, ACCEPT OUR PRAYERS"
In the footage, AK Party members were seen praying, saying, "We have gathered here for the opening of a workplace on this blessed Friday. We have opened our hands, we are begging, accept our prayers."
