The President of the Confederation of Turkish Trade Unions (TÜRK-İŞ), Ergün Atalay, stated that the government's offer is close to being positive but still not positive during his meeting with Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz.

The negotiations for the 2025 Collective Bargaining Agreement (KÇP), which involves nearly 600,000 workers in public institutions and organizations, including highways, railways, electricity generation plants, ministries, universities, and hospitals, are ongoing.

Following the failure to reach an agreement in the negotiations, the Confederation of Turkish Trade Unions (TÜRK-İŞ) decided to strike in 500 institutions.

MIDNIGHT PRICE INCREASE SUMMIT

As part of the negotiations, Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz met with TÜRK-İŞ President Ergün Atalay at the Presidential Complex in Beştepe. It is reported that the figures in the government's latest offer given the day before have been revised.

WHAT WAS THE GOVERNMENT'S PROPOSAL?

On the other hand, in the KÇP negotiations, TÜHİS had proposed a wage increase of 24% for the first six months, 11% for the second six months, 10% for the third six months, and 6% for the fourth six months. However, this offer was not accepted by TÜRK-İŞ.

STATEMENT FROM ERGÜN ATALAY

After the meeting at the Presidential Complex, Ergün Atalay stated that the government's offer is close to being positive but still not positive.

Atalay expressed that the decision will be made by the members and unions, saying, "The offer is not 100% positive, but it seems like a proposal close to being positive. We have surpassed 16.11, but we have not reached 16.57. Our friends will go to their members, they will go to their unions. If they say there is no problem, we will also say there is no problem to the Ministry of Labor. If there is a problem, we will say we are not coming, we are not doing it. There will be no further meetings anyway," he said. Atalay indicated that the process will become clear on Saturday.
