The images of Ekrem İmamoğlu's bodyguard leaving the hotel meeting in Beşiktaş with two suitcases, after İmamoğlu was removed from his position as the Mayor of Istanbul, have emerged. It has been claimed that the suitcases contained signal jamming devices.
New footage has emerged of Ekrem İmamoğlu, who was removed from his position as the Mayor of Istanbul after his arrest, holding a "clandestine meeting with organization leaders and secret funds" at a hotel in Beşiktaş on October 12, 2024. The footage shows that the suspicious security personnel, Çağlar Türkmen, was seen leaving the hotel with suitcases.

According to the investigation file conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, the suspects identified as organization leaders and cash holders, Tuncay Yılmaz, Ertan Yıldız, Adem Soytekin, Fatih Keleş, and Hüseyin Köksal, met with İmamoğlu at the hotel. Prior to the meeting, moments were recorded where the security cameras monitoring the hotel's interior were covered with black tape by the security personnel of the İBB Private Office, Çağlar Türkmen.

Footage also captured moments of Çağlar Türkmen, who was detained in the second wave of the corruption operation conducted today, leaving the hotel with two suitcases.
SO, WHAT WAS IN THOSE SUITCASES?
It has been claimed that the two suitcases contained signal jamming devices. Allegedly, İmamoğlu actively used these devices to prevent eavesdropping conducted with technological means during his meetings. It was reported that signal jamming devices were carried during all of İmamoğlu's domestic and international visits, and that his security personnel placed these devices in the areas where meetings were held.
