While intervening in a forest fire in the Seyitgazi district, 10 personnel, including dozer operator Eyüp Dereli, were martyred when they were caught in the flames. Dereli's body, sent to the Ankara Forensic Medicine Institution, was brought to Eskişehir. A funeral ceremony was held at Reşadiye Mosque after the afternoon prayer.
MINISTER YUMAKLI ALSO ATTENDED
In addition to Dereli's relatives, the ceremony was attended by Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı, Eskişehir Governor Hüseyin Aksoy, protocol members, and many citizens. Minister Yumaklı tried to console the grieving family, who were crying for minutes while holding Dereli's coffin wrapped in the Turkish flag.

The cries of martyr Eyüp Dereli's relatives broke hearts. It was seen that Dereli's father and twin brother had difficulty standing. His son, however, did not leave the side of the coffin. The grieving child, who did not let go of his father's photo for a moment, cried out, "Dad, what will I do without you?" When the coffin was placed in the funeral vehicle, the child, who cried while hugging the vehicle, was calmed down by the surrounding citizens.
Eyüp Dereli, who was sent off on his last journey in tears, was taken to Kanlıpınar Martyrs' Cemetery for burial.
FAREWELL TO FOREST MARTYRS IN ANKARA
A ceremony was held today after the funeral prayer to be performed at Ahmet Hamdi Akseki Mosque following the afternoon prayer for the AKUT volunteers who lost their lives in the fire: Bayram Eren Aslan, Alperen Özcan, Tekin Enes Sarıyıldız, Muharrem Can, and İlker Onarıcı.

However, regarding the fire that started in Seyitgazi, Eskişehir, and spread to Afyon, 24 people, including 19 forest workers and 5 AKUT members, were caught in the fire due to the sudden change in the wind's direction," he explained the situation.

On the other hand, Justice Minister Yılmaz Tunç also announced that an investigation has been initiated by the Eskişehir and Afyonkarahisar Chief Public Prosecutor's Offices regarding the forest fire in which 10 people, including 5 forest workers and 5 AKUT volunteers, were martyred.
