It has been revealed that the suspect in the murder of Sümeyye Khaled Abira, who was shot dead in the Nusaybin district of Mardin, and her sister Süheyla Özdaş, is Sümeyye's religiously married husband, M.B. It is being considered that the suspect may have fled to Iraq.
It has been revealed that the murder suspect of Sümeyye Khaled Abira (41), who was shot dead in her home in the Nusaybin district of Mardin, along with her sister Süheyla Özdaş (44), is M.B. (59), with whom Khaled was living in a religious marriage. The incident occurred on January 4 in Aram Street, 8 Mart Neighborhood, Nusaybin district.
TWO SISTERS FOUND SHOT
Upon a report made to the 112 Emergency Call Center, police and medical teams were dispatched to the address. The teams that entered the house found Sümeyye Khaled Abira, a Syrian national, and her sister Süheyla Özdaş shot and motionless. It was determined by health officials that the sisters had lost their lives. After the examination of the scene, the bodies were taken to the hospital morgue for autopsy procedures.
SPECIAL TEAM FORMED
Following the incident, a special team was formed by the Provincial Security Directorate. The security cameras of the City Security Management System (KGYS) throughout the district and the security cameras of houses and businesses along the route were examined. It was determined that the suspect was M.B., with whom Sümeyye Khaled Abira was living in a religious marriage. It is being considered that M.B., who is a truck driver, may have fled to Iraq.
INITIATIVES STARTED FOR THEIR BURIAL IN THEIR COUNTRY
On the other hand, it has been learned that the relatives of the bodies, for which autopsy procedures have been completed at Mardin Training and Research Hospital, are making efforts to have them buried in their home country.
