The suspects, who believed they were being followed in Kağıthane, attacked the police in the middle of the street.

On December 25, Wednesday, around 23:30, a tumultuous night occurred in Sultan Selim Neighborhood, Kağıthane, Istanbul. According to the information obtained; teams from the Istanbul Narcotics Crime Investigation Branch began to follow a suspicious individual. At that moment, Ömer Y., Semih D., and Savaş K, who were walking on the sidewalk, reacted to the plainclothes police team they thought was following them by saying, "Brother, who are you, what are you doing here, why are you following us?"

THEY ASSAULTED THE POLICE AND INJURED HIS HAND

The team identified themselves as police and told the suspects to leave. The suspects, who did not leave the scene, approached the police and cursed at them. The attackers, who were making threats, called 3 of their friends to the scene. A total of 6 individuals attacked the police officer. It was learned that the police officer's hand was injured in the attack.

THEY ALL TURNED OUT TO BE CRIME MACHINES

With the arrival of backup teams, 3 suspects were detained. While the suspects were being taken to the police vehicle, their friends Yasin A., Yunus Y., and Halil Y. attempted to assault the police team surrounding them. The other 3 suspects, who were trying to rescue the suspects attacking the police, were also detained by the backup teams. It was revealed that the suspects, whose statements were taken at the police station and whose judicial procedures were completed, had a total of 27 criminal records.

3 SUSPECTS WERE ARRESTED

Of the 6 suspects sent to the courthouse, Semih D., Savaş K., and Ömer Y. were arrested by the court for the crime of "resisting the performance of duty." Halil Y., Yasin A., and Yunus Y. were released under judicial control. The events were recorded second by second by security cameras.
