Although the shop owner chased the thief with a stick when he entered the shop again, the suspect managed to escape. It was reported that the total loss for the kebab shop amounted to 50,000 lira, and the chase between the shop owner and the suspect was captured on security cameras.
A suspect who committed theft multiple times at a kebab shop operating in the İnegöl district of Bursa was captured on security cameras. In the latest incident, the thief, who was noticed by the shop owner and chased, managed to escape after a brief pursuit. Those moments were also captured on security cameras.
SET A TRAP FOR THE THIEF WHO CONSTANTLY ENTERS THE SHOP
The incident occurred on November 12 around 05:00 in a kebab shop located on Mimar Sinan Street in the Süleymaniye neighborhood. The shop owner began reviewing the security cameras after noticing that there was a constant shortage of money in the cash register in recent days. The footage revealed that a suspect secretly entered the shop around 05:00 and stole money from the cash register. A retrospective examination showed that the same person had entered the shop multiple times to commit theft.
CHASED BUT COULDN'T CATCH
Noticing the situation, the shop owner set a trap in the shop during the hours when the thief frequently entered. As soon as the suspect entered again, the shopkeeper attempted to catch him with a stick. However, during the brief chase, the thief escaped and vanished.
TOTAL DAMAGE 50 THOUSAND LIRA
The shop owner, Soner Özen, who stated that he suffered a loss of approximately 50 thousand lira, said, "While I was doing cash checks for days, I noticed that some of the coins were always disappearing. While we were watching the security cameras, we realized that a 15-16 year old boy was damaging the lock point on the corner window with his hand and easily opening it. After taking the money, he closed it the same way and disappeared without leaving a trace, so we set the trap. When he came, he saw that the windows were not open this time, and I tried to catch him at that moment as he was leaving. He is very professional in these matters; I must congratulate him, he runs away quite fast. We know who the boy is. From what we heard, he has entered about 100 businesses. He escaped cheaply again, but we know the person now. The Child Bureau is also aware. But we want something. It is not nice for those who haunt such a business to be released back. What if he gets us into trouble? What will happen if he comes and burns our workplace?" The police have started an operation to capture the suspect.
