In Kocaeli, an uncle opened fire on his feuding nephews. One of them managed to escape to the hospital while injured and explained the situation, leading the responding teams to find the lifeless bodies of the others at the scene. After his statement was taken, the suspect was referred to the courthouse and was arrested.
The incident occurred on the evening of Thursday, July 10, in a single-story house on Gazi Street in the Fatih Sultan Mehmet neighborhood. Allegedly, a dispute within the family quickly escalated into a fight.
ONE OF THEM FLED INJURED
During the incident, the uncle F.Y. fired at his nephews Gazi Zafer Y. and Güven Y., as well as M.S. M.S. managed to go to the hospital on his own, while health and police teams were dispatched to the scene upon a report made to the 112 Emergency Call Center. Health teams determined during their examination that the brothers Gazi Zafer Y. and Güven Y. had lost their lives.
UNCLE ARRESTED
The police detained uncle F.Y., K.Y., and D.Y. on charges of "intentional murder - attempted intentional murder and instigation to intentional murder." After the procedures completed at the Homicide Bureau of the Public Order Branch, the suspects were referred to the courthouse, where K.Y. was released by the prosecutor, and D.Y. was released under judicial control by the court. F.Y., however, was arrested.
