Famous DJ Ozan Doğulu fell into the trap of scammers after believing in a fake investment advertisement on social media. Hoping to earn 12 million lira, Doğulu sent money and realized he had been scammed when he was asked for more money. In the investigation launched after his complaint, it was determined that the money had been transferred to five different foreign exchanges. Doğulu stated, "Unfortunately, this incident is real. Everyone should be careful."
Famous DJ and musician Ozan Doğulu has become the latest target of scammers. The process, which began with a fake forex investment advertisement that appeared on social media, turned into a fraud case worth millions of lira.
The scammers who contacted Doğulu through the advertisement presented a professional investment interface that instilled confidence. They then got in touch with individuals who introduced themselves as "consultants." Allegedly, these individuals initially demanded a total of 12 million lira from Doğulu under the pretense of investment promises.
According to a report by Show, Doğulu, who transferred money with high profit expectations, did not have any suspicions at first. However, after being contacted again and asked for more money, he realized the situation. Acting quickly, Doğulu went to the police station to file a complaint against the scammers.
Technical investigations revealed that the money taken from Doğulu was transferred abroad through five different foreign exchanges. Police teams, who initiated a comprehensive tracking operation on digital wallets and trading platforms, continue to pursue the scammers.
