A woman known as Malgorzata in Poland was held captive and sexually assaulted for four years in a dark barn by a man she met online. It has been revealed that the 30-year-old woman suffered violence and was hospitalized multiple times for not complying with the man's demands. The case, referred to as the 'Polish Fritzl' by the public, was brought to light years later when the woman broke her silence.
In 2019, a 30-year-old victim named Malgorzata was held captive for years by a man named Mateusz J whom she met through a dating site. The woman, who was subjected to physical, sexual, and psychological abuse, was imprisoned in an unused barn for 4 years and became pregnant during this time. Malgorzata, who had to give her child up for adoption, was taken to the hospital multiple times due to the violence she suffered.
According to the Polish newspaper Fakt, the woman was taken to the hospital several times during her four years of captivity due to various injuries, including broken arms and legs. When she was taken to the hospital again due to a dislocated shoulder, the woman broke her silence and informed the healthcare workers.
The truth came to light when the healthcare workers called the police. The woman claimed that she was subjected to violence because she did not meet the man's sexual expectations.
The victimized woman, who was impregnated by her captor, was once taken to the hospital to give birth but later had to give her child up for adoption. This horrific incident was compared to the Josef Fritzl case in Austria by the local people of Poland.
WHAT IS THE JOSEF FRITZL CASE?
Josef Fritzl, who kept his daughter captive in the basement for a total of 24 years and sexually abused her, fathered seven children with her. The Austrian criminal began molesting his daughter when she was only 11 years old in 1977. When Elizabeth, who was 11 years old at the time of the first molestation, turned 15, she started attending a course to become a waitress. On January 28, 1983, she escaped with a friend and hid in the 20th district of Vienna. Within three weeks, the police found the girl and returned her to her parents. With Elizabeth's return, her father's sexual assaults continued. In 1984, she was imprisoned in the basement of their house by her father. She remained there until April 2008. In September 1984, a letter written in Elizabeth's handwriting emerged. The letter stated that her family should not search for her, that she was living with a friend, and that she would leave the country if they continued to search for her. Elizabeth, who gave birth to her father's children, started giving birth in the basement. Because Elizabeth was ill, she wrote a note asking for help and put it in her son's pocket. When this note reached the Austrian police, they reopened Elizabeth's case and uncovered the entire incident.
