A fire that broke out in an empty turkey barn in the Mudurnu district of Bolu was extinguished by the intervention of fire brigade teams. The barn owner, who stood across from the burning barn, said, "We are alive; I could have burned too."
According to the information obtained, a fire broke out for an unknown reason in the caretaker's room of the empty turkey barn owned by Niyazi Cengiz, which has a capacity of 7,000, in the village of Hacıhalimler.
IT BURNED FLAMES
The fire, which grew rapidly, was exacerbated by the wind. Citizens who noticed the fire in the barn reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center. Upon the notification, gendarmerie and numerous fire brigade teams were dispatched to the area. While the caretaker's room, which was burning fiercely, was reduced to ashes, a part of the barn was damaged. The fire was extinguished and brought under control by the teams. It was noteworthy that Niyazi Cengiz, the barn owner, stood across from the barn and smoked a cigarette.
"WE ARE ALIVE; I COULD HAVE BURNED TOO"
Expressing that the turkeys were moved three days ago, Niyazi Cengiz said, "We are alive; I could have burned too. After moving the turkeys 2-3 days ago, I went to the village, and friends and neighbors called from the village. That's how I heard; there was no one in the barn."
