While the social media posts of a female lawyer in Izmir have sparked reactions, Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç announced that an investigation has been launched against the lawyer. Following the investigation, the video in which the lawyer stated, "Even if you commit adultery, the custody of the child remains with you," has come back to the agenda.
The images shared by a woman lawyer, who is said to live in Izmir, have drawn reactions on social media; the ministry has taken action. Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç announced that an investigation has been initiated regarding the woman lawyer for the videos she shared on her social media accounts.
"EVEN IF YOU COMMIT ADULTERY..."
While the repercussions of the incident continue, the words of the woman lawyer, who is under investigation, have come back to the agenda: "Do not believe the threats made by your husband with his tiny brain. You can meet with whoever you want, you can be with whoever you want. Even if you commit adultery, the custody of your child will remain with you."
MINISTER TUNÇ HAD MADE A STATEMENT
On the other hand, Minister Tunç, in his statement regarding the matter, said, "An investigation has been initiated by the Izmir Chief Public Prosecutor's Office against the lawyer who has not behaved in a manner appropriate to the dignity of the legal profession with her posts on social media. The relevant bar association has also initiated a disciplinary process to examine whether it constitutes a violation of professional rules and to make the necessary evaluations."
