Seven years ago, the Avcı family, who live in İzmir and have two children, appeared on Müge Anlı's show. Recently, they started living in the forest due to their landlords evicting them from their home. The Ministry of Family and Social Services took action and placed the Avcı couple and their children in a hotel.

Seven years ago, Aydoğan and Nazmiye Avcı, a couple who were guests on a television program due to being homeless and struggling to make ends meet, received various forms of assistance and even got married on the show. The couple, who continue their lives in İzmir's Gaziemir district with their two young children aged 4 and 7, were reportedly evicted from their home after some belongings belonging to the landlord went missing.

THEY WERE LIVING IN THE FOREST

The Avcı couple had started to stay in the wooded area across from their house, taking their children with them. Years later, once again homeless and struggling to survive on a mattress for days, the Avcı couple had asked for help from authorities and philanthropists, saying, "We want a home, not for ourselves, but for our children."

MINISTRY TAKES ACTION

In a statement made by the ministry, it was emphasized that it was deemed appropriate to make the following statement regarding news and posts about a family allegedly living in the forest in İzmir that have appeared in some media outlets and social media platforms recently: "After the investigations and discussions, it has been determined that the family is not living in the forest. The family, which was found to have been evicted from their home due to a dispute with the landlord, has been urgently placed in a hotel by our Social Assistance and Solidarity Foundation. Our efforts to secure a suitable home for the family and provide them with furniture are ongoing with the support of our foundation."
