Legal action was taken against 23 illegal parking operators who charged unauthorized parking fees in Istanbul. The suspects, identified during inspections in Fatih, Beyoglu, and Eyupsultan, were processed for violating the Highway Traffic Law.
In various districts of Istanbul, legal action was taken against 23 individuals who were engaged in illegal parking operations and charged citizens for parking without having an operating permit.
ILLEGAL PARKING ATTENDANTS IDENTIFIED ONE BY ONE
A study was initiated to identify individuals who, acting as illegal parking attendants in various parts of Istanbul, particularly in the districts of Fatih, Beyoğlu, and Eyüpsultan, charged citizens for parking without having an operating permit.
In the operations carried out by the Istanbul Police Department's Traffic Enforcement Branch Directorate between July 1 and July 24, 23 individuals were identified.
LEGAL ACTION TAKEN
Legal proceedings were initiated against the suspects for the offense of 'charging or attempting to charge a parking fee for vehicles in a parking lot on the highway without the authorization of the competent administration or without an operating permit granted by this administration,' as stipulated in the Highway Traffic Law.
