As part of the investigation launched following the allegation that 2 kilograms of drugs stored in judicial custody in the Kınık district of İzmir were removed from the warehouse by preparing a fake report, 3 court employees and 2 individuals allegedly connected to them were arrested. After the incident came to light, a comprehensive examination was initiated at the courthouse, and the investigation conducted through security camera footage and official documents revealed the details of the scandal.
It has been revealed that 2 kilograms of narcotic substances stored in the judicial custody warehouse in the Kınık district of İzmir were removed with a fake report. In connection with the incident, 3 court personnel and 2 individuals identified as being connected to them were arrested and sent to prison.
REVEALED BY A TIP
The scandal came to light with a tip-off made on February 2. According to the information obtained, D.G., who was contacted under the pretext of "checking the quality" of the drugs in judicial custody, informed T.T., the Execution Director of Kınık Courthouse, by calling him. Following the Execution Director's official notification by preparing a report, a large-scale investigation was initiated.
SECURITY CAMERA RECORDS REVEALED THE TRUTH
As part of the investigation, security camera footage from the courthouse building was examined one by one. The examination revealed that on January 29, between 20:05 and 20:32, court clerks S.A. and V.E. along with staff member O.M. entered the courthouse building and removed a package from the judicial custody warehouse.
THEY PREPARED A FAKE DESTRUCTION REPORT
It was determined that the suspicious personnel prepared a fake destruction report to be able to remove the narcotic substance from the warehouse. It was alleged that D.G. was contacted through M.Ş. and K.Ş. for the sale of the 2 kilograms of narcotics that were removed.
5 PEOPLE WERE ARRESTED
The court employees S.A., V.E., and O.M., who were taken into custody in connection with the incident, along with M.Ş. and K.Ş., who were alleged to have acted as intermediaries, were referred to the courthouse after their procedures at the police station. The 5 suspects brought before the judge were arrested and sent to prison.
