Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat announced that export financing costs will decrease in the coming months. Announcing the 2025 Export Action Plan, Bolat said, "We are working for a new reduction in financing costs." He stated that they plan to take concrete steps in 77 actions this year and aim to increase the support budget to approximately 33 billion lira. A total of 27,700 goods and services exporters are planned to be supported this year.
SUPPORT FOR EXPORTS WILL INCREASE IN THE NEW YEAR
Minister Bolat also made statements regarding export financing. Accordingly, it is planned that Turkish Eximbank will provide 50 billion dollars and Turkish Trade Bank will provide 200 billion lira in financing support in 2025. A total capacity increase of 70 billion lira is expected with the new guarantee support packages of Export Development Inc. (IGE), and a cumulative credit guarantee support of 160 billion lira is also anticipated by the end of the year. Bolat indicated that good news regarding a new reduction in export financing costs will be coming.
8,500 EXPORTERS WILL BE GIVEN GREEN PASSPORTS
Bolat provided information regarding the visa issues of exporters. He stated that 8,562 exporters were given green passports in 2024, bringing the total number of green passports to 27,192. Bolat mentioned that they plan to provide green passports to 8,500 exporters in 2025.
