During inspections by the Alanya Municipality Zoning Department teams, three chain market branches were sealed. Mayor Osman Tarık Özçelik stated, "We are applying the necessary administrative actions against businesses that endanger public health. Our inspections will continue with determination." Butchers, bakeries, markets, and food companies operating in Alanya's 102 neighborhoods are regularly inspected by teams. Accordingly, administrative action was initiated against three chain market branches found to be selling expired products, and the branches were sealed and banned from trading for two days. EXPIRED FLOUR, WATER, STUFFED MEATBALL...The sealing process, which has a deterrent effect on all businesses, was carried out by the Zoning Department teams. A chain market branch located on Sheikh Shamil Street in Kızlarpınarı Neighborhood, which was selling expired flour, hot sauce, and popcorn, as well as another chain market branch operating on Keykubat Boulevard in Hacet Neighborhood, which was selling expired water, stuffed meatballs, biscuits, and chocolate derivatives, were sealed. Additionally, another chain market branch operating on the Old Antalya Road in İncekum Neighborhood, which was found to be selling expired white cheese, sausages, and soft drinks, was also sealed. Administrative fines were imposed on all three businesses, and they will not be able to conduct commercial activities for two days. "WE WILL CONTINUE OUR INSPECTIONS WITH DETERMINATION"In a statement regarding the sealing processes, Mayor Özçelik said, "We had stated that we would not compromise on public health. In this context, the inspections of our Zoning Department teams continue to increase. We had previously sealed businesses that sold expired products and operated in non-sterile environments. Again, we detected the sale of expired products in 3 chain market branches and applied the necessary administrative actions. We hope that such practices will be deterrent for all food sellers and producers. I invite business owners to be more sensitive in this regard. We will continue our inspections with determination," he said.
