In Antalya's Aksu Municipality, which is governed by the CHP, Deputy Mayors Hüseyin Çelik, Mevlüt Uludağ, and Hasan Şişli announced their resignation from their positions. The deputy mayors, who announced their resignation decisions via social media, stated that they wanted to take on more responsibilities in active politics and continue their struggle under the CHP umbrella.
Three individuals serving as deputy mayors in the CHP-led Aksu Municipality announced their resignation from their positions while stating that they wish to continue their struggle under the roof of the CHP.
Deputy Mayors Hüseyin Çelik, Mevlüt Uludağ, and Hasan Şişli of the CHP-led central Aksu Municipality in Antalya announced their resignation from their positions. Three of the five deputy mayors working in the municipality have now left their posts.
THREE RESIGNATIONS AT ONCE
Hüseyin Çelik, who shared his resignation decision on social media, stated that he voluntarily left his position as Deputy Mayor of Aksu Municipality, saying, "I made this decision to take on more responsibility in active politics and to continue my struggle under the roof of the Republican People's Party. I thank all my colleagues with whom I walked during my term, and I would like to inform the public that I will continue to work for our Aksu and our country in the future. With respect, love, and struggle."
"IF I HAVE MADE A MISTAKE, I APOLOGIZE"
Deputy Mayor Mevlüt Uludağ also announced his resignation with the following words: "Dear people of Aksu, in the 2024 local elections, we completed the elections as the first party in Aksu alongside President İsa Yıldırım. After this process, with the appreciation of President İsa Yıldırım, I have been serving as Deputy Mayor of Aksu Municipality for about 1.5 years. As of today, I have resigned from my position. From now on, I will continue to serve you, the esteemed people of Aksu, as a member of the CHP Aksu Municipality Council. Throughout my term, I have tried to be alongside everyone, whether they voted for me or not, and to serve everyone. If I have made a mistake, I apologize, may the outcome be good."
