A jealousy crisis in England's Staffordshire region turned into a bloody murder on Christmas Day. 33-year-old Kirsty Carless stabbed her ex-boyfriend Louis Price (31) in the heart, killing him. The incident was ignited when a friend sent Carless Louis's Tinder account.

Driven mad by jealousy, Carless called her ex-boyfriend 45 times in just 30 minutes. However, it was revealed that she had spent the night before with another male friend, using alcohol and cocaine.

Carless took a kitchen knife and went by taxi to Louis's home in Norton Canes. Security camera footage shows Carless running to the house with a knife in hand and chasing Louis in the garden. Shortly after, Louis was found dead in the winter garden with a single stab wound to the chest.

Previously Violent

According to court records, Carless was on police bail for allegedly choking Louis in November 2024. Neighbors also reported that Carless had previously attacked Louis with a metal rod, poured bleach on his clothes, and threw a shoe at his head. Louis stated in his police testimony that "most of our relationship was abusive, he was subjected to physical violence, and he was prevented from doing activities he loved."

On Christmas morning, Carless, who had consumed alcohol and cocaine, went by taxi to Louis's family's home and carried out the attack. Footage from police cameras shows her being arrested in tears. Carless claimed in court that she did not remember the stabbing and that she was not a violent person, but she was found guilty of murder and possession of a weapon.

Heartbreaking Statement from the Family

Louis's family stated in a statement, "Louis was a loving father. Losing him has left a huge void in our lives. We always celebrated Christmas as a family, losing him this way is even more painful. He left behind four daughters and two sons."

Carless's sentence will be announced in the coming days. Following the incident, Staffordshire Police referred the case to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) for an examination of "preventive measures taken against the killer."
