A landslide at a hydroelectric power plant construction site in the Kemaliye district of Erzincan resulted in the death of 55-year-old worker Orhan Şimşek. After the incident, rescue teams were dispatched to the area, and an investigation was initiated regarding the event.

One worker lost his life in a landslide that occurred during the construction of a hydroelectric power plant (HPP) owned by a private company in the Kemaliye district of Erzincan.

The landslide occurred today around 3:00 PM at the construction site near the village of Buğdaypınar, which is connected to the district. Upon notification, AFAD and rescue teams were dispatched to the area.

55-YEAR-OLD WORKER DIED

As a result of the team's efforts, the worker Orhan Şimşek (55), who was found injured and unconscious under the rubble, was taken to the hospital. Despite all the interventions made at the hospital, Şimşek could not be saved. An investigation has been initiated regarding the incident.
