Two traffic accidents occurred on Alparslan Türkeş Boulevard in the Fatih neighborhood of Aksaray, half an hour apart. According to the information obtained, the road from the Fatih neighborhood towards the Makas Junction was closed to traffic due to excavation work by the Aksaray Municipality.
CLOSED ROAD TURNED INTO A ACCIDENT SCENE Due to the incomplete excavation work, the road was closed to traffic by municipal teams, and the street turned into an accident scene at midnight. İbrahim B. (31), driving a Fiat light commercial vehicle with license plate 68 BR 969, lost control of the steering wheel after failing to notice the road work and crashed into a parked truck in the middle of the road. The driver of the light commercial vehicle was injured and was taken to the Aksaray Training and Research Hospital Emergency Department by ambulance.
"WEAR YOUR SEATBELT, IT SAVES LIVES" While the light commercial vehicle was being towed to the parking lot by police teams, a second accident report came from the same location about 30 minutes later. Hasan K. (23), driving a Seat car with license plate 68 HK 912, crashed into a lighting pole next to the truck that had been hit by the light commercial vehicle. In the accident where the vehicle was totaled, the driver was injured, and another ambulance was requested to the scene. The injured driver Hasan K., who was lying on the median, called out to his friend who came to help him, saying, "Wear your seatbelt, it saves lives."
The relatives of the driver also arrived at the accident scene crying, while this time the driver scolded his relatives, saying, "I should be the one crying, what’s wrong with you?" Health teams, who arrived at the accident scene shortly, provided first aid to the injured driver at the scene. After the first intervention, the driver was taken to the Aksaray Training and Research Hospital Emergency Department, and it was learned that the health condition of the two injured was good. An investigation has been initiated by the police regarding the accidents.
