According to the information obtained, the incident occurred at the Grand Sami Hotel located on Beyazıt Hamam Street. Rashid Mohammed Ajoeb (57), who came to Turkey for a holiday from the Netherlands, went to Taksim yesterday evening with his sons Mohammed Jamil Yusuf (17) and Mohammed Yazdani (15) to explore. The Dutch father and his sons returned to the hotel after having dinner.
WHEN SOUNDS CAME FROM THE ROOM...
Hotel staff heard sounds coming from the Dutch family's room in the morning hours. Upon entering the room, the staff found the children lying motionless on the floor, and father Mohammed Ajoeb was seen to be in distress.
THEY LOST THEIR LIVES AT THE SCENE
Upon the staff's notification, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. The initial examination by the medical teams determined that the two Dutch children had lost their lives. The father was taken to the hospital by the medical team after being loaded into an ambulance. It was learned that father Rashid Mohammed Ajoeb told the medical personnel that they returned to the hotel after having dinner in Taksim with his children and then fell ill.
Police teams have launched an investigation into the incident.
