PROSECUTOR PRESENTED THE OPINION



In the case regarding the accident in which Çeki lost his life and 4 others were injured, the public prosecutor presented their opinion at the 8th Heavy Criminal Court of Istanbul Anatolian Courthouse.

VIOLATED THE RULES



In the opinion, it was noted that in the incident subject to the trial, the defendant driver Fatma Zehra Kınık crashed into the motorcycle driven by the juvenile Y.S.Ö., who was traveling on the main road while attempting to go on a secondary road, resulting in the death of Batın Barlas Çeki, who was a passenger. It was mentioned in the opinion that İbrahim Ethem Üstünçelik, one of the injured pedestrians, did not file a complaint, while Muammer Kızıl filed a complaint with the authorities but later withdrew it during the prosecution phase. According to the traffic accident report prepared by the law enforcement officers, it was determined that the defendant Kınık violated the rules according to the Highway Transport Regulation No. 2918 and was primarily at fault, while the juvenile Y.S.Ö. was noted to have violated the rules and was secondarily at fault.
