The DEM Party delegation includes TBMM Deputy Speaker and Van Deputy Pervin Buldan, DEM Party Şanlıurfa Deputy Mithat Sancar, and Lawyer Faik Özgür Erol. Accompanying Özel from the CHP delegation were CHP Secretary General Selin Sayek Böke and CHP TBMM Group Deputy Chairman Murat Emir.
After the meeting, the parties are expected to make a statement.
THE PKK'S DISARMAMENT PROCESS HAS BEGUN
Following the call of PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan, the PKK, which decided to disband, laid down its arms in a ceremony held in Sulaymaniyah, Iraq, on July 11. The ceremony, which started at 11:25, ended at 11:45. During the disarmament ceremony, PKK leaders Bese Hozat, Nedim Seven, Tekoşin Ozan, and Tekin Muş also burned their weapons. A total of 30 PKK terrorists, consisting of 15 women and 15 men, destroyed their weapons by burning them in cauldrons. In the coming days, it is expected that 30 more PKK terrorists will lay down their arms.
