A man suffering from vertigo lost his balance and fell while trying to check the plaster on the balcony in İlkadım, Samsun, and tragically lost his life. His 60-year-old father-in-law, who saw him fall and tried to catch him, was injured in the face.
In the Cedit neighborhood of the İlkadım district in Samsun, 60-year-old Veli A. went out to the balcony to check the plaster of a balcony that had been added later on the first floor of his relative's house. It was learned that Veli A. suffered from vertigo, and when he felt dizzy, he lost his balance and fell from the balcony.
SON-IN-LAW TRIED TO CATCH HIM WITH OPEN ARMS
Meanwhile, Veli A.'s son-in-law, İbrahim Ç., who was below, noticed that he was about to fall and opened his arms to catch him. Veli A. collided with İbrahim Ç. and fell onto the concrete ground. Police and ambulance teams were dispatched to the scene. Upon inspection, it was determined that Veli A. had lost his life.
GREAT SORROW EXPERIENCED
İbrahim Ç., who was slightly injured on his face and experienced great sorrow, refused treatment. The lifeless body of Veli A. was sent to the Samsun Group Presidency of the Forensic Medicine Institution for autopsy after the police investigation at the scene. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
