In an evaluation after the meeting, Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan stated that they have received the demands of both workers and employers, saying, "I will convey the opinions I received from the labor unions to the table as a minister. The minimum wage will not only protect against inflation but will also be of a nature that preserves welfare."
MANY CRITERIA ARE TAKEN INTO ACCOUNT
Emphasizing that many criteria are considered in determining the minimum wage, Işıkhan stated, "We are addressing the inflation level, purchasing power, international calculations, and the social policy needs of our citizens as a commission."
NEGOTIATIONS CONTINUE
Stating that a clear figure has not yet been determined, Minister Işıkhan said, "The figure is not clear. This is the purpose of the negotiations. I believe we will find a common ground that will not burden our workers with inflation and will not hinder the development of our employers."
