Mehmet Kamalı, who was trying to cross the road in the Siverek district of Şanlıurfa, lost his life at the scene as a result of a collision between two vehicles. An investigation has been initiated regarding the accident.
In the Siverek district of Şanlıurfa, a person attempting to cross the road was killed in a horrific accident involving two vehicles. The accident occurred early in the morning near the hospital junction on the Siverek-Şanlıurfa highway. According to the information obtained, Mehmet Kamalı (50), who worked as a heater operator in the police lodgings, wanted to cross to the other side of the road at a point where there was no pedestrian crossing or overpass to head towards Siverek State Hospital. At that moment, a car with the license plate 41 U 2062, driven by Abduvabi E. (55), struck Kamalı from the right mirror side while heading towards Şanlıurfa. Due to the force of the impact, Mehmet Kamalı fell onto the road, where he was subsequently hit by another vehicle with the license plate 44 ADE 917, driven by İhsan Ç. (39), coming from the same direction.
DIED AT THE SCENE
Upon receiving reports from witnesses of the accident, health and police teams were dispatched to the scene. Health teams determined that 50-year-old Mehmet Kamalı had died at the scene. Teams from the Siverek Police Department took extensive security measures in the area where the accident occurred, and traffic was controlled for a while. The drivers involved in the accident were taken to the police station for their statements. The death of Kamalı, who was known to work in the police lodgings, plunged his colleagues and family into mourning, while a comprehensive investigation into the accident was initiated.
