Fatma Turgut, the lead singer of the iconic band Model, and Can Temiz, one of the founders of the group, made sincere statements about the band's breakup process. The duo mentioned that the psychological exhaustion they experienced played a significant role in this decision.
Fatma Turgut and Can Temiz made striking confessions about both the past and the disbandment process of the Model group through the questions they directed at each other in their YouTube programs.
Fatma Turgut stated that they struggled to manage the effects of the sudden fame they achieved at a young age, using the following expressions:
"THERE WERE THINGS I COULDN'T MANAGE"
"We became very famous at the beginning of our 20s. One morning we woke up and we could hardly walk on the street. During that time, we all experienced different losses. Now, as a 42-year-old woman looking back, I clearly see that there were things I couldn't manage. That's why I feel a sense of responsibility for the disbandment of the group."
Can Temiz, on the other hand, stated that he made efforts for a long time to prevent the group from disbanding, but expressed that it was inevitable.
"EVERYONE WAS VERY TIRED"
In his statement, Temiz included the following words:
"I worked hard to prevent Model from disbanding, but honestly, I didn't feel responsible for its end. Maybe it needed to disband. Everyone was very tired. Looking back now, I see that everyone is in a better mental place."
Temiz, who said that the group members have psychologically recovered over the years, also expressed that perhaps different decisions could have been made when viewed with the same maturity today.
