The Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Alparslan Bayraktar, responded to the question of whether the winter time application will continue. Minister Bayraktar stated that the application will continue, saying, "Since the year the application started, we have achieved an energy saving of 113 billion kilowatt-hours. Additionally, there has been an energy saving of 27 billion liras."
Many citizens living in Turkey have been complaining due to the winter time application, especially those who have to go to work and school in the dark have been calling for a change in the application.
THE QUESTION OF INTEREST WAS ADDRESSED TO THE MINISTER
The question of whether the winter time application, which is at the center of the discussions, will be abolished was directed to the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Alparslan Bayraktar.
"THE APPLICATION WILL CONTINUE"
Speaking at a meeting with the economic press in Istanbul, Minister Bayraktar stated that the winter time application will continue.
"THERE HAS BEEN A 27 BILLION LIRA ENERGY SAVINGS"
Minister Bayraktar said, "Since the year the application started, we have saved 113 billion kilowatt-hours of energy. Additionally, there has been an energy saving of 27 billion liras."
