Yusuf Yerkel, who came into the spotlight for kicking a relative of a miner after the mining disaster in 2014 in the Soma district of Manisa, where 301 miners lost their lives, has been appointed as a member of the UEFA HatTrick Committee.
According to a statement made by the Turkish Football Federation (TFF), Turkey has gained representation rights with a total of 12 people in 11 of the 19 committees and in 1 of the 6 delegations.
NEW ROLE FOR YUSUF YERKEL
Yusuf Yerkel, who came to the agenda for kicking the relative of a miner during the Soma mining disaster, has been appointed as a member of Turkey's UEFA HatTrick Committee.
The names and roles representing Turkey in UEFA's committees and delegations are as follows:
- TFF 1st Vice President, Executive Board Member, and Board Member Responsible for the National Team and Super League Mecnun Otyakmaz: Member of the UEFA Football Committee
- Former TFF President Servet Yardımcı: Chairman of the FIFA Member Associations Committee
- TFF Vice President, Executive Board Member, and Board Member Responsible for FIFA and UEFA Relations, External Relations, and Health Affairs Prof. Dr. H. Zehra Neşe Kavak: Member of the UEFA Medical Committee
- TFF Board Member Responsible for Youth National Teams and Women's National Teams, Club Licensing Affairs, Facilities, and Investments Mustafa Temel Bozbağ: Member of the UEFA National Competitions Committee
- TFF Board Member Responsible for Amateur Football, Women's Football, and Disabled Football Ural Aküzüm: Member of the UEFA Youth and Amateur Football Committee
- TFF Board Member Responsible for Technology and Corporate Communication Bilal Arslan: Member of the UEFA Futsal Committee
