Eleven-year-old Mehmet Dönmez, who was helping his father on their own field in Izmir, got caught in the rotavator attached to the back of the tractor. The child lost his life at the scene, while the father, seeing his son covered in blood, suffered a nervous breakdown.

Mehmet Dönmez (11), who was trapped in the rototiller attached to a tractor in the Kiraz district of Izmir, lost his life.

The incident occurred yesterday around 7:00 PM in the Suludere neighborhood. Mehmet Dönmez, who was helping his father Ahmet Dönmez on their farm, approached the rototiller attached to the tractor. Dönmez got caught in the machine. Health and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the scene upon notification. It was determined that Dönmez had passed away. Dönmez's lifeless body was taken to the Kiraz State Hospital morgue.
