In an operation conducted in Istanbul, 49 suspects were detained on the grounds that they purchased and stored child sexual exploitation content through online communication applications.

The teams of the Cyber Crime Department of the Istanbul Police Department, in coordination with the Anadolu Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, identified suspects who obtained and stored content related to sexual exploitation of children through online communication applications in their work on cyber crimes.

THE NUMBER OF ARRESTS INCREASED TO 49

In the examination of digital materials, 47 suspects were caught in an operation where content related to the crime was detected. With the capture of 2 more suspects within the scope of the investigation, the number of arrests increased to 49. The arrested suspects were taken to the police for processing.

Meanwhile, it was learned that efforts are ongoing to capture 4 more suspects.
