In the Banaz district of Uşak, a 89-year-old man shot and killed two of his neighbors with a shotgun in front of his house. Witnesses who spoke about the incident, in which one person was also injured, stated that they could not understand why Mehmet I. attacked with a weapon.
Mehmet I., who lives in Yazıtepe village, fired a shotgun at his neighbors Mustafa Y. (56), who was putting items in his parked car in front of his house, and Sait G. (71) who was next to him. Mehmet I. then shot Fatma Y. (61), the wife of Mustafa Y., who came out of the house after hearing the gunshot.
2 PEOPLE DIED IN HOSPITAL
Upon notification, 112 Emergency Health and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the village. It was determined that the injured Fatma Y. and Sait G. had lost their lives.
89-YEAR-OLD CULPRIT IN CUSTODY
Mustafa Y., who was taken to Banaz State Hospital by ambulance, was transferred to Uşak Training and Research Hospital after the initial intervention there. Mehmet I. was taken into custody by the gendarmerie teams.
NOBODY COULD UNDERSTAND
Eyewitnesses stated that there was no feud or fight between the neighbors and expressed that they could not understand why Mehmet I. attacked with a gun.
Meanwhile, Banaz District Governor Cuma Emeç arrived at the scene and received information from the Deputy Commander of the Provincial Gendarmerie, Colonel Deniz Çezik.
