A 65-year-old man in Kyrgyzstan was rescued by children after being trapped for 16 days in an 18-meter deep well in his garden. Unable to climb out due to a broken ladder, the man managed to survive by drinking water.

WAITING FOR RESCUE FOR 16 DAYS
A 65-year-old man in Kyrgyzstan was trapped for days in a well in his garden. The man, who lives in the Batken region, went down into the 18-meter deep well on March 22 to check the water flow coming to his home. After the ladder he always used broke while he was descending, he was unable to get out of the well and could not call for help for days.
CHILDREN HEARD HIS VOICE
The man, who survived for 16 days by drinking water, was rescued by search and rescue teams after children who came to play in the garden heard him. It was reported that the elderly man was quite weak due to being hungry for a long time and was taken to the hospital.
