The new Syrian administration led by Ahmed al-Shara has banned the transportation of Iranian and Israeli citizens on flights to the capital, Damascus.

On January 23, Thursday, Turkish Airlines (THY) will operate its first flight to Damascus, the capital of Syria, and has published a special travel information for passengers on its official website.

CITIZENS OF THE TWO COUNTRIES WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ENTER SYRIA

Accordingly, a series of decisions have been made by the authorities of the Syrian Arab Republic for passengers traveling to Syria. According to the decision, citizens of all countries except for Israel and Iran will be able to enter Syria.

SYRIAN CITIZENS WILL PRESENT DOCUMENTS

Syrian citizens will be required to present a document proving their Syrian nationality. Lebanese citizens will be able to enter the country if either of their parents is a Syrian citizen or if they have residency rights or a visa in another country.
