CHP Central Executive Board (MYK) has initiated an administrative process regarding Görele Mayor Hasbi Dede, who was arrested as part of an ongoing sexual harassment investigation. Party officials have clarified the agenda for the next meeting to address Dede's situation.
DISCIPLINARY COMMITTEE REQUEST ON THE AGENDA
According to the information obtained, CHP officials evaluated the investigation file that led to Hasbi Dede's arrest. As a result of the consultations, it was decided that the request for Dede to be referred to the High Disciplinary Board (YDK) with precautionary measures would be decided at the next MYK meeting.
AUTHORITY WITH MYK
According to Article 63 of the CHP Statute, disciplinary actions related to actions of district mayors that may constitute a party offense are carried out by the Central Executive Board. In line with this legal framework, it is expected that Dede's file will be formalized at the MYK meeting planned to be held on Monday, February 16, under the chairmanship of the General President Özgür Özel.
THE PRECAUTIONARY REFERRAL PROCESS WILL PROCEED
The "precautionary referral" decision to be discussed at the MYK meeting foresees the suspension of the relevant person's rights and authorities within the party until the disciplinary process is completed. After the evaluation to be made at the meeting, a final decision will be made regarding Dede's referral to the High Disciplinary Board.
