The incident occurred in the morning at two separate workplaces belonging to the same pizza chain, located on Fatih Sultan Mehmet Boulevard in İhsaniye Neighborhood and Alim Street in Beşevler Neighborhood. According to the allegation, Abidin G., a former employee of the company, first set fire to the branch in İhsaniye Neighborhood, which he had rented a vehicle to reach, and then to the branch in Beşevler Neighborhood. Those moments were reflected in the workplace's security camera.
ATTEMPT TO SET FIRE TO THE 3RD BRANCH
During the incident, the fire alarm was activated, and numerous police and fire teams were dispatched to both addresses due to reports from the surrounding people. With the intervention of firefighters, the flames were brought under control and extinguished. While no injuries were reported in the fires, it was stated that damage occurred in the workplaces.
Furthermore, it was noted that Abidin G. also attempted to set fire to the branch in Görükle Neighborhood but fled when noticed. Police teams captured and detained the suspect who fled after the incident. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
