Syrian security and intelligence forces announced that Muhammad Shahada, code-named "Abu Omar Shaddad," one of the senior figures of the terrorist organization ISIS, was neutralized in an operation conducted in coordination with the U.S.-led coalition forces in the rural areas of Damascus.

In a statement from the Syrian Ministry of Interior, it was noted that the operation was carried out jointly with coalition forces, stating, "As a result of the operation, the terrorist Muhammad Shahada, recognized as one of the leading leaders of ISIS in Syria and known as 'Abu Omar Shaddad,' has been neutralized. This operation confirms the effectiveness of the joint coordination between national security institutions and international partners."

The Syrian administration announced that a joint operation was carried out with US-led coalition forces in the rural area of Damascus a day earlier, stating that Taha ez-Zubi, recognized as "Abu Omar Tabiya," one of the senior executives of ISIS, was captured along with his associates.
RETALIATORY ATTACKS CONTINUE
On the other hand, it was recorded that in an ISIS attack in Syria on December 13, 2 US soldiers and 1 American civilian translator lost their lives, and following the attack, the US conducted numerous strikes against various targets in the country as retaliation.

It was also reminded that Syria officially joined the US-led International Coalition during President Ahmed Shara's visit to Washington in November.
