The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry continues its inspection activities uninterruptedly to ensure food safety. Companies found to be producing in violation of regulations or applying imitation and adulteration in their products are announced to the public through the Ministry's official website.
SOME BRANDS HAVE COME TO THE AGENDA AGAIN
The latest list published by the Ministry includes a wide range of products, primarily spices, honey, meat, and dairy products. Some brands have come to the agenda again due to practices that could jeopardize health.
FOOD DYE IN SPICE PRODUCTS
According to the inspection results, it was determined that some spice products contained colorants that are not permitted for use in food. Experts warned that such banned dyes could lead to serious health problems in the long term.
IMITATION AND ADULTERATION FOUND IN HONEY
Among the products identified with imitation and adulteration, honey stood out. It was announced that some honey products of the Aslanpetek brand contained imitation and adulteration. Additionally, it was found that tomato was used in the crushed red pepper of the Erkan Egemen brand.
COW'S MILK DETECTED IN BUFFALO YOGURT
Findings related to dairy products also drew attention. It was reported that cow's milk was detected in the buffalo yogurt of the Genç Ada brand, contrary to the label information.
THERE IS A LIFE-THREATENING RISK
According to expert evaluations, mixing cow's milk into buffalo yogurt poses a serious risk, especially for individuals with cow's milk allergies. It is stated that severe allergic reactions, such as itching, gastrointestinal complaints, skin rashes, and even shortness of breath, can occur, potentially leading to life-threatening situations. It is emphasized that the fermentation of yogurt does not completely neutralize the milk proteins that cause allergies.
