The reality of the "villa on top of an apartment" photo, which was taken in Ankara and shared on social media with the note "villa with a sea view from the contractor," turned out to be completely different.
A photo taken in the Ümit neighborhood of the Çankaya district in Ankara was shared on social media with the note "a villa with a sea view in Ankara from the contractor." In the front shot, it appeared that there was a villa on the roof of a 13-story apartment building. The image, which spread quickly, was shared by many users and became the subject of humorous comments.
PERSPECTIVE DISTORTION REVEALED THE TRUTH
After the image spread, it was determined upon examination that the photo was a perspective distortion. It was found that the villa-like structure, which appeared to be on the roof of the apartment building, actually belonged to another building located on a slope at the back. It was established that there was approximately 100 meters of distance between the two structures.
CLAIMS TURNED OUT TO BE BASELESS
Thus, it became clear that the claims that the villa was built on the roof of the apartment by the contractor did not reflect the truth. The image that became a topic on social media was recorded as an optical illusion created by perspective and shooting angle.
