Spain, Castilla la Mancha - British social media influencer Lewis Stevenson (26) died after falling while filming a video on Spain's highest bridge. The incident occurred in the Castilla la Mancha region of the country.

Stevenson, known for taking dangerous photos and videos from high places, lost his balance and fell while performing acrobatic moves on the 192-meter-high bridge. His 24-year-old friend, who was with him, tried to save Stevenson but was unsuccessful.

Macareza Munoz, the mayor of Castilla la Mancha, announced that Stevenson's body was found at 07:14 on Sunday morning. Munoz stated, "As far as we can tell, Stevenson and his friend climbed the bridge to create content for social media."

Local authorities noted that climbing the bridge had been banned years ago, but young people and social media influencers continue to violate this ban. Access to the bridge has been completely prohibited following the incident.

Stevenson was previously known for his photos taken on top of skyscrapers in New York, on metal beams in London, and on the skeletons of buildings under construction in Croatia.

The influencer's grandfather, Clifford Stevenson, said, "We all tried to talk him out of it. We were always trying to get him to stop doing things, but that was just who he was," describing his grandson.

The local court is investigating the cause of the fall. Bad weather conditions are being considered as a possible reason.

This tragic event has once again highlighted the risks of producing dangerous content for social media.
