GOVERNORATE: FIRE UNDER CONTROL; 5 PERSONNEL SLIGHTLY INJURED
The Edirne Governorate announced that the forest fire that broke out in the Mahmutköy area of Keşan district around 15:30 was brought under control and that 5 personnel were slightly injured as a result of the fire truck overturning. In the statement, it was said, "After the forest fire that broke out in our Keşan district Mahmutköy area today around 15:30, our Governor Yunus Sezer conducted inspections in the region and conveyed his best wishes to the citizens affected by the fire. Many air and ground vehicles intervened in the fire; the fire was brought under control with many vehicles and equipment, including 168 Forestry Operation personnel, gendarmerie teams, 5 helicopters, 4 planes, and 20 fire trucks, and cooling efforts are ongoing. As a result of the overturning of a fire truck belonging to the Keşan Forestry Operation Directorate, 5 personnel in the vehicle were slightly injured and have been treated at Keşan State Hospital. It has also been reported that 1 civilian was affected by the fire, and the health conditions of the injured are good. Get well soon, Keşan," it was stated.
DISTRICT GOVERNOR VISITED THE INJURED
Keşan District Governor Aziz Mercan visited the 5 personnel injured in the overturned fire truck during the firefighting efforts at Keşan State Hospital, where they were being treated, and conveyed his best wishes. Mercan, who visited the injured along with CHP Edirne Deputy Baran Yazgan, stated that their conditions are good.
