MERVE TAŞKIN HAD FLED TURKEY
Influencer Merve Taşkın, who has faced numerous investigations due to the content she shared on social media, announced last week that she had left Turkey.
In a post on her social media account, Taşkın stated the following:
"Recently, my mental health had deteriorated so much that... I couldn't sleep at night. I thought the police were coming every time the doorbell rang. I was constantly putting clothes in one corner of my bed and leaving food and water around for my cat. I was always prepared to sleep, in case the police came to take me into custody at night.
Realizing that I couldn't spend more days like this, I bought a one-way ticket out of Turkey as a birthday gift to myself and left. I embarked on a journey for myself. I have no plans. I don't know what the result of my choice will be, but not trying and feeling more exhausted every day made me feel bad. I will miss you, Turkey."
