A shocking tragedy occurred at Chicago's O'Hare International Airport; a woman got trapped in the baggage conveyor belt and died. The Chicago Fire Department rushed to Terminal 5 of O'Hare International Airport around 8:00 am after receiving a report of a woman being stuck in the belt. According to CBS News, the police later confirmed that the deceased woman was 57 years old. The Chicago police stated that the non-airport employee woman was seen on camera entering a restricted area that was empty around 2:30 am. The woman's body was found a few hours later, and the police confirmed that she had been at the airport overnight. However, it is still unknown how she managed to enter an area that is only accessible to employees. The police said that the area where the incident occurred was considered safe but not classified as a high-security zone. This area is filled with conveyor belts that transport luggage from planes to the international terminal and through customs. The woman's identity has not been disclosed so far. The police have not yet revealed whether they were able to track the woman's activities between 2:30 am and 7:30 am. The U.S. Sun contacted the Chicago Police Department for comments on the matter. According to Fly Chicago, O'Hare International Airport in Chicago, which opened in 1944, is home to major airlines such as United Airlines, American Airlines, Frontier Airlines, and Spirit Airlines.
