Following the events that took place in front of the CHP Istanbul Provincial Headquarters, access issues are being reported on the most widely used social media platforms in Turkey. Many users have commented that they are having difficulty accessing X, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok, while issues with WhatsApp and Telegram have been observed with some service providers.
Following the call from the Istanbul Provincial Presidency, which was appointed as a trustee by court order for the CHP Istanbul Youth Branch, activity continues.
DEMONSTRATION MARCH AND EVENTS HAVE BEEN PROHIBITED
After the call, the Istanbul Governorship banned press statements, rallies, marches, and events in six districts of the city until September 10 at 23:59. After the decision, riot police surrounded the provincial building; scuffles occurred in some places.
ACCESS ISSUE TO SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS
After the events, access problems to social media platforms began to arise. Many users reported that they were unable to access X, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok.
It was observed that there were issues with WhatsApp and Telegram on some service providers.
