In the 38th Ordinary Istanbul Provincial Congress of the CHP, CHP Istanbul Provincial Chairman Özgür Çelik and his administration were dismissed by the decision of the 45th Civil Court of First Instance. With this decision, Gürsel Tekin, Zeki Şen, Hasan Babacan, Müjdat Gürbüz, and Erkan Narsap were appointed as trustees to the Istanbul Provincial Chairmanship. However, Hasan Babacan and Müjdat Gürbüz withdrew from the trustee committee with the decision they received.

Gürsel Tekin, who was appointed as a trustee and announced that he would accept the duty, stated that he would go to the provincial chairmanship today at 12:00. It was claimed that CHP officials would form a "human chain" in front of the provincial building today.
CALL FROM CHP ISTANBUL YOUTH
A call was made by the CHP Istanbul Youth Branch last night, drawing attention to 23:00. Following the call, citizens gathered in front of the provincial building. A large number of riot police were dispatched to the CHP Istanbul Provincial Chairmanship. While the roads leading to the provincial chairmanship were closed, it was reported that entrances and exits to the provincial building were blocked by riot police. PROTESTS HAVE STARTED

Meanwhile, the Istanbul Governor's Office announced that a ban on demonstrations and marches would be implemented in the districts of Beşiktaş, Beyoğlu, Eyüpsultan, Kağıthane, Sarıyer, and Şişli until 23:59 on September 10.
