Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced in a meeting with provincial police chiefs that the name of the General Directorate of Security will be changed and restructured as the Directorate of Security.

In a striking statement during this meeting, Minister Yerlikaya said, "We had started our organizational work as the General Directorate of Security to increase our institutional capacity and transform it into a structure that meets today's needs, and it continues.

With the assignment point system, our standard staffing studies, which will determine the number of personnel that must be present in every province, are also nearing completion. God willing, we plan to finalize this work by the end of this year and share it with the public and you," he stated.
POLICE WORKING REGULATIONS ARE CHANGING
Speaking about the working regulations of the police, Minister Yerlikaya said, "I had mentioned in the General Assembly of the Parliament about our transition from the 3-group 12-36 working system to the 4-group 12-36 system, and I say it once again. God willing, after our May 25 period assignments this year, our graduates, in August and September, immediately after that, these new assignments and period assignments, and the first appointments will start, and after they begin their duties, we will implement this system," he said.
