In the latest counterfeit-adulteration list of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, pork meat was once again detected in Bifet brand beef sausage. Additionally, the cheese brands Asova and Aybey were found to contain the additive natamycin, which prevents the formation of mold and yeast.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry has updated the list of brands that pose a risk to public health and have been found to contain imitation-adulteration in their product content. The list includes notable names that could endanger health and contain products that violate regulations.
AGAIN PORK MEAT IN BIFET BRAND SAUSAGE
As a result of inspections by the ministry, pork meat was detected in the 'Bifet' brand beef sausage belonging to Bifet Food Industry Trade Limited Company. It was determined that the company was also included in the previous list published on July 31 for the same reason.
NATAMYCIN DETECTED IN TWO CHEESE BRANDS
Natamycin was found in the cheeses branded 'Asova' and 'Aybey' belonging to Aybey Dairy Products Food Industry Trade Limited Company. This additive is used to prevent the development of mold or yeast in milk and dairy products.
WHAT IS NATAMYCIN?
The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry defines natamycin as "an additive used to prevent the formation of mold or yeast in milk and dairy products." However, illegal uses can hinder the sale of the product.
