In a narcotics operation targeting celebrities, Deren Talu, the daughter of Defne Samyeli, who tested positive, underwent a new test. Sharing the test result on social media, Deren Talu said, "My test results are in, everything is negative. I have never tried or used drugs in my life."
The investigation initiated by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office's Smuggling, Narcotics, and Economic Crimes Investigation Bureau against public figures for the crime of using narcotic or stimulant substances is ongoing.
As part of the investigation, 19 individuals, including singers, influencers, and actors, were taken to the Istanbul Provincial Gendarmerie Command on October 8 to provide statements regarding the charge of "using narcotic substances." After the statement process, hair and blood samples were taken from the individuals who were taken to the Forensic Medicine Institution for necessary analyses.
8 NAMES' TEST RESULTS WERE POSITIVE
It was learned that 8 out of the 19 individuals tested positive in the conducted tests. The names that tested positive were identified as Dilan Polat, Deren Talu, Derin Talu, Berrak Tüzünataç, Birce Akalay, Kubilay Aka, Metin Akdülger, and Kaan Yıldırım.
THE TALU SISTERS REACTED TO THE TEST RESULTS
Among the names that tested positive, Deren Talu previously stated, "I am in shock regarding the alleged results. I have never used or tried drugs in my life. The sertraline found in my blood is from the antidepressant I take." The girls' mother, Defne Samyeli, made strong statements saying, "We do not trust the results of the Forensic Medicine Institution."
