In line with the goal of a "Terror-free Turkey," a decision was made in the commission established in the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM) to visit İmralı. Zekeriya Yapıcıoğlu, the leader of HÜDA PAR, who voted 'No' in the ballot, explained the reason behind their decision. Yapıcıoğlu stated, "So far, we have listened to everyone together as a commission. Why can't there be a formula where commission members can also ask questions, like the SEGBİS method? Abdullah Öcalan can be heard through a video connection, and it would be possible for commission members to ask questions."

The National Solidarity, Brotherhood, and Democracy Commission convened under the chairmanship of the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM), Numan Kurtulmuş, with the agenda of the 'Imralı visit'.

THE COMMISSION WILL GO TO IMRALI

The AK Party, MHP, DEM Party, TİP, and EMEP voted 'Yes', while DSP, HÜDA PAR, and the Democratic Party voted 'No'. The New Path Group remained abstained. The commission meeting then concluded.
